Lunch and Workshop
When a person dies, their family members are required to make many decisions at a time when they are often in deep grief. You can give your family a wonderful gift by documenting some of your favorite hymns, scripture passages and other elements of worship which you would like included in your own memorial service.
Pastor Cindy will lead a workshop guiding us through different elements of a typical service, highlighting some of the most beloved hymns and scriptures for memorials. We’ll have plenty of hymnals and Bibles available for reference, so you can complete an outline of the service you would like.
The Deacons are graciously sponsoring a light lunch for all participants. Feel free to invite friends or family members. All participants must RSVP by noon on Friday, 5/24. Call Mark or leave a message on the office phone at 510.522.1477.

Angel Tree Luncheon Canceled
Due to an unforeseen event, the Angel Tree luncheon scheduled for this Saturday has been canceled. Jeanette Scott, the Prison Ministries employee who coordinates the Angel Tree program, sends her apologies.
We will reschedule this event at a future date. Please keep the children to whom you gave gifts last Christmas in your prayers. Summer can be a difficult time as their school day routines are disrupted.
Project Peace Day of Service
Volunteer at Harbor House
Saturday June 22 from 9am -12 noon
Our church will be volunteering at Harbor House in Oakland, just across the tube. This is a chance to see this vital mission for local families in action and help them out with much needed projects.
