Introducing Interim Pastor Reverend Nancy Martin Vincent

On behalf of the Session and the Presbytery of San Francisco, we are delighted to announce that the Reverend Nancy Martin Vincent has agreed to serve as our Interim Pastor beginning December 1, 2017. Rev. Vincent will lead worship and celebrate communion with us on Sunday, December 3, the first Sunday of Advent.

Rev. Vincent has pastored churches in California, Nevada, and Washington, most recently serving as interim pastor at Mercer Island Presbyterian Church, a large congregation near Seattle. She has been a keynote speaker for numerous conferences and serves on the Board of Westminster Woods Camp and Conference Center in Sonoma County. God has answered our prayers to bring such a qualified and gracious pastor to lead and partner with us in ministry.

We look forward to everyone having the opportunity to meet Rev. Vincent and welcoming her to our church family. Below is a brief biography to get to know more about our new Interim Pastor Rev. Nancy Vincent.

Rev. Nancy Martin Vincent

The church’s ministry in Jesus Christ is life giving to all, and I love walking with people along all points of the journey. I have a passion for engaging in all aspects of the church–from baptizing children to being with people at the end of their lives. I love worship, engaging scripture, caring for others, and leading church staff teams to share God’s love in the community and world.

I have a keen awareness of congregational dynamics and have helped many congregations navigate seasons of transition. As churches navigate the challenging waters of our times, transition has become the norm for more and more congregations making this wisdom and vision all the more valuable.

In all of my work, I seek to see God glorified and the Gospel of Jesus Christ proclaimed in a world that needs the good news of God’s grace and love.

I completed my Master of Divinity degree at Union Theological Seminary and my undergraduate degree in Zoology/PreMed at the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. In addition to spending time with the church family, my husband Paul and I also enjoy hiking, skiing, preparing a good meal, offering hospitality, and of course many walks with our Golden Retriever, Gabby.
