The Alameda Warming Shelter is designated to be a warm, safe and respectful place for homeless persons to get out of the cold and rainy weather. The shelter will be open on nights when the weather is forecast to be 40 degrees or colder or rain is predicted. Guests will be provided with dinner, a place to sleep and breakfast. The Warming Shelter is a project of Building Futures, and the City of Alameda, and is hosted by Christ Episcopal Church.

The Angel Tree program connects parents who are in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts given on the parents’ behalf. The Angel Tree with 25 name tags on it will be in the Fellowship Hall after the service on Sunday, December 2. Choose a name tag of a child you wish to buy a gift for. Gifts are valued at approximately $20. Wrap and place the name tag on the gift. Gifts will be delivered by Sunday, December 15th. Please contact the Eggett at 510-217-8406 with any questions.
